Trout (Salmo trutta)
The trout hardly needs an introduction. It is probably the most popular species for sport fishermen around the world, at least for fly fishermen. Trout can be found throughout Lapland, from the Alpine lakes and streams to the coastal waterways. Late summer is high season for trout fishing, but there are many places they can be fished year round.

To register your trophy trout on this website, it must weigh at least 5 lb (2.2 kg).
