Pike (Esox lucius)
Lapland's inland and coastal regions have really large pike. Catches over 40 inches long are not unusual. These can be both lake pike and fish in flowing waters, which today are managed with a modern and long-term approach. Pike can be caught at any time of the year but early summer and autumn are the most popular times for anglers trying to pull in the largest examples.

To register a trophy pike on this website, it must be at least 41 inches (105 cm) long.
